The photography of images, both still and moving, have been an important practice for nearly all of my adult life. After graduating from Auburn University in 2011 with a BFA in Journalism, where I learned photo and multimedia journalism, I spent several years as a musician and network operations engineer for NASA Godard in Greenbelt, MD.
By 2016, I resumed my long and patient journey to being a freelance filmmaker by documenting exhibition design for Washington D.C. - based design firm, Howard + Revis, as well as working with local social justice organizations to record their efforts and messaging for a kinder, more inclusive society.
After relocating to Los Angeles, CA in mid 2020, I freelanced as an editor and videographer for PBS Digital while continuing to film and photograph architecture both for my own Curiovista Productions and The Luxury Level. In 2024, feeling stagnant in my practice, I enrolled in the Cinematography Certificate program at UCLA Extension, and graduated in summer 2025. Since then, I have been the director of photography on several short narrative films, as well as working on sets as a gaffer, camera assistant, and grip. I am currently enrolled in West LA College in conjunction with Hollywood CPR’s IATSE Signatory Training Program as I pursue union membership in IATSE Local 600. I am currently in development on a short film titled “Nowhere Gods of Nothing” that I will write, produce, direct and photograph in fall of 2026.
